Fighting Word Fatigue (aka Writer's Block)

large product photo   Exercise #1

Some times a writer just gets weary with words. This state of word-weariness can get so bad that it is difficult to string one sentence together much less two, three or more.

A fun way to revive the brain is to put your current project aside and just do some word play.

Have someone (child, friend, spouse, etc.) tell you ten (10) random and unrelated words.

Set a clock for two minutes and create a story using those words during that time.

To make this word play more challenging you can limit genres, whether fiction/non-fiction and much more!

The bottom line is - take a break from your project but don't take a break from words.
